This training is designed for staff who have a leadership role that includes responsibility for developing provision for children on the autism spectrum within an early years setting.
This training brings lead practitioners from a range of organisations together to discuss, share and develop practice and understanding. Leading all staff in understanding autism and creating an outstanding early years setting whether or not they work directly with young children on the autism spectrum.
The training will:
· enhance staff knowledge and understanding of good autism practice.
· help staff question, evaluate and develop practice within their setting.
· provide staff with the tools to evaluate their own knowledge of autism, to audit staff training needs and to gain an overview of whole setting practice using the AET early years autism standards and autism competency framework.
